I was asked by a few people on twitter if I could post a tutorial on one of the decorations I was doing in my girl’s rooms. Of course I was happy to oblige. :) This tutorial is very easy. The step by step process is shown in the slideshow at the end of this post as well.
All you will need is paper…
A punch, and a sewing machine…
Punch all of your circles, {or whatever shape you’re using.} Like so….
When you’re done, you’ll have tons of punch out shapes as you see below…
Now all you have to do is feed the circles into your sewing machine and sew through the paper just like you would do with normal fabric. Keep sewing even when there is no paper. Just don’t cut the string. It will be ongoing…
Keep sewing. Sew as many shapes together as you want…
And when you’re done, cut the thread leaving a 6 or so inch tail of thread. This will be used if you need to tie the garland onto something. And that is it! You’re done.
Can’t really get much easier than that, right? Like with all other tutorials on this blog, if you finish this, be sure to share pictures! :)
The slideshow is below as well. Happy Saturday!

So cute! I love that scalloped circle punch. :) I’m making yards & yards of paper heart garland for my wedding in October…maybe I’ll have to throw in some circles, too! ;)
