How many of you like hummus?
I love hummus! But you know what I really love? Making it myself!
It’s incredibly easy to make and unlike the grocery store, you actually know what’s being put into it! Nothing weird, no chemicals, and this hummus… has NO OIL!
It’s incredibly delicious and incredibly healthy!
Today… I’m sharing with you how to make your own!
2 cans of Organic Chickpeas, drained and washed
Organic Garlic (approx. 3-4 tbsp)
Salt
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup of water
Food Processor
Put all of your ingredients in your food processor. Mix it all up!
Blend until very smooth. Like so…
Grab some crackers (WHOLE wheat of course) ;) OR! An even more delightful idea? Put it on a sandwich!
HUMMUS SANDWICH:
Whole wheat bread (2 slices)
Sprouts
Red Bell Peppers
Onions
Eat and ENJOY! This sandwich was AWESOME!
I also made beet hummus the other day, which was surprisingly delicious. I don’t usually care for beets, but since I’m now eating plant based, I like to experiment and try new things. I wasn’t disappointed! And look how pretty it was!
If you don’t have a food processor, GET ONE! It will save you SO much time in the kitchen. I just got mine last Thursday and I’ve used it at least once everyday since then. Best kitchen tool ever! :)
Enjoy!
